So, it's getting colder , might need to find something other than shorts and t-shirt for the colder mornings, any advice for a good online running store ?

Not sure about men's running gear, but I got some clothing from a firm called similar, who make their clothing from recycled stuff (not sure what, but it's good clothing, moisture wicking etc).

Happy hunting!

Sorry , autocorrect changed the spelling, it's called Scimitar!

I’m not much help, I got my running tights and long sleeved top from Tesco 😂.

Sports Direct is always worth a look.

I got my waterproof running jacket from SportsShoes.com.

Decathlon have some good stuff, just bought a chest torch from them!

Not sure about mens but I find Decathlon really strange sizing wise. Maybe it's just me but if you can find something that fits they're very competitive price wise. I'd probably look there more for accessories hats/gloves etc

This running business can be an expensive hobby 😂

I need to source long sleeved top and waterproof jacket.

I've heard people opt for cycling jackets for the extra length at the back and plenty of pockets - plus they can be cheaper than specialist running jackets

Yes, I have just had a look at decathlon, they don't gave much in the way of men's clothing unfortunately,

Found a bit more on sports shoes.com

And yes, I have cycling jacket and trousers so might give them a go tomorrow and see how they are . 👍

The problem I find with long sleeved tops with thumb holes is that my arms are too long for my thumbs to fit in the thumb holes. 🤬

Agreed, their sizing is mental, even accounting for the EU change. I’ve got some great simple running tops from them though for £3.99!👌🏼

Actually, sports shoes.com look ok for men's gear, just can't bring myself to order men's tights though 😂😂😂

You must! Or you won’t be a real runner 😂. I promise you’ll get used to them very quickly and you’ll wonder why you hesitated !

Am I supposed to wear shorts over them ? 🤔 😂🦵

It might be advisable for modesty 😉. I have obtained some running tights, but I'm reserving them for when it gets properly cold.

At parkrun there’s a mix of shorts over tights and just on their own. Depends how you feel.

in reply to Instructor57

Always always shorts over tights!!!

Hey, I have tights. I prefer them to shorts, can’t wait for the cold weather. 😁

No, I wear them instead of shorts, not with them.

My other half wears decathlon. He’s generally one full size bigger than he really is. It’s great. I went on Friday and literally kitted him out with a mid layer, two long sleeve tops, two pairs of running pants, a pair of running underpants for £130 as a birthday gift, and they’re all moisture wicking designed for running and they wash well. He’s been using their summer clothes aswell. The only thing they didn’t have was the caps for the rain so I ordered those online when I got home. I wear the ladies tops and again have had no problems.

Like others I’ve bought from decathlon and Sainsbury’s; my latest top came from Adidas when they had a 25% off, plus I added an additional code to it and got the top for about £5.00 or something similarly low prized! Happy shopping!

I agree with suggestion of TK Maxx...just bought 3 items for £35 and saved £160.. might be last year's or odd colours but squirrels haven't complained so far. I rarely meet other humans on a run!

I found I could run all year all I needed was the right gear, Nike has winter running gear and you can find it at their website or where ever Nike clothes are sold. Also Under Armour (which also has its own website)

Specifically I use a headband in the winter to keep my ears warm and a short sleeve shirt over a long sleeve one and sweatpants replace shorts. Silk is warmer than cotton and very thin, as a base layer. REI has base layers in smartwool and silk (and a website).

In the worst weather I'll wear a Columbia zip up jacket over my running shirt plus a scarf around my face. Despite the cold, once you get moving you usually feel about 10 degrees warmer than the actual temp, so if it's 30 degrees out - you can dress as if its 40. . . hope that helps

Don't know about today, but you couldn't go wrong with sports direct for good brands at fair prices.

Some of the walking/climbing gear at trespass ideal. Don't forget most heat escapes via your head! So a light snood is good. I got a decent one in trespass sale

Thanks for your suggestion 👍

Ebay definitely has bargains, rummage through the brands I've just aquired a brand new ronhill running jacket for £15 a real steal 👍
