I never thought I'd get past the mighty 20min beast that is W5R3, but somehow I just kept going & can't wait for the next run now!!!

Im mid 40s, overweight & never run before & really enjoying this.

Well done on completing week 5, you will smile all day now 😁

Be careful with week 6 runs 1 and 2 as going back to intervals can catch people out !

Lots of people fear the 20 min run but most surprise themselves.

Awesome work! That’s my next run, and like you I’m also mid 40’s, overweight and never been able to run before 🤣

Good luck for week 6!

I too managed W5R3 and can't believe how it happened. But I miss the run then walk then run then walk variety so if that's what happens in week 6 it will be interesting

Nice to know that you are enjoying your running, congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran 🏃🏾 😊

I am managing well with W2R1 my knee needs a rest for a day as it is often sore going downstairs afterwards but is recovering more quickly as I progress.I am though concerned about W5R3 I have the enthusiasm but I weigh 16 or 17 stone and I am obese.Back pain stopped me running a few years ago I hoping the gradual increase in exercise will keep it at bay this time.

I'm in a pretty similar boat. I was shocked to learn I hit 17 stone a few months ago & hence why I joined C25K. I never thought I could run 30 seconds, but here I am today & I've just completed a 20 min run on W5R3. I bought some hemp gel on Amazon to help with muscle pain/soreness & it seems to work. Keep on going, it gets easier, trust me!
