w8r1 and accidental 5k!!

Its been so hot yesterday (and today!) so I decided to put off w8r1 until today. I'd been feeling a bit shaky about it anyway, because of the heat, and also last time by the end my legs felt like lead

Today I set out just aiming to complete the 28 minutes, and to make sure I didn't go too fast. The first 5 minutes were especially tough, as I always find the beginning is. I went the same route as I have been doing, because I move country tomorrow! so its the last run of my favourite route :( But, once I got past the heat, I actually felt good! I definitely felt I could breath just fine, and whilst it was tricky and I didn't feel too bad.

Before I knew it Michael was telling me it was time to slow down, so I opened up Strava (I don't ever look at it when I'm running I don't want to focus on pace) I realised I'd ran 4.9km!! So I couldn't resist running running 1 minute more and reaching 5k :)

I was so not expecting it but am very very pleased!! Of course I won't look to achieve this every time but I'm proud of this run
