Back in the game (I hope...)

Hi all, I graduated about 5/6 weeks ago - did the program without any repeats but was only getting to around 4k in 30 mins (which I know is fine). Was struggling with knee pain after, and have been seeing a physio. She said it was my inactive glutes (yikes, desk job casualty) that is over loading my quads and pulling on my knees. Anyway been doing lots of glute activation exercises and she said I could do some easy runs. I have been attending circuit classes x3 week mostly weights and strength based.

So today was the day, I did a 20 min run with a couple of short walk breaks to ensure that my glutes are taking their share of the work!

Anyway posted this because 1) wanted to share in case anyone else had same issues to say not to forget those glute bridges and 2) to get some support and motivation for me as I've lost my mojo a little...

Thanks everyone!

Hi! Great that you are back out running! 🙂 Weak glutes are a big problem for many runners and glute bridges are great for building up strength and glute activation!🙂

Good luck as you build back up and let us know how you are getting on!
