Wow, I’m 53 and I have just jogged-ish for two lots of 8 minutes, never would I have thought this when I started out with my youngest daughter (age 14) trying to keep going for 1 minute, 5 weeks ago!. I am now doing better than both my girls , eldest age 18, they can’t keep up with me and are still re doing week 3 lol 😂. I want to ask you over 50’s if you have noticed any change in body shape after the 9 weeks? I know I won’t lose loads of weight doing c25k , I want to look a little less flabby though ! Will I notice any difference in another 4 weeks time? thanks to you all for fab support 😊

You probably already look at least a bit different but its not obvious to you. i have lost a bit from the sides of my belly, but i have so much visceral fat, on my organs, that i can only tell by how my arms feel at my sides!

I am eating a tiny bit better, but not much.

I'd say yes to changes in body shape. In my case it's not just legs, as you might expect, but arms too. Fwiw I'm 59 and I used to be a couple of kg overweight, but now my bmi is in the (supposedly) normal range.

Hello! Well done! Yes I’m 52 menopausal and over weight, graduated c25k and been consolidating running 30mins x3 per week and am noticing I’m losing a layer of fat all over (still have a tummy annoyingly) but am feeling so much stronger and somehow lighter! Clothes are looser and people are saying my face looks thinner! I hope if we keep going it’ll help with fat and toning. 😊

It's subtle. The nascent spare tyre has deflated slightly. My BMI was about 24.5 beforehand. It would be nice to get it a couple of points lower.
