A great track on my playlist to finish my 3rd 5K on, Pink Floyd's Comfortably numb !
a nice breeze at the start of this one , but something felt different !
what was it?
well, it took me around 5 minutes to realise i hadn't started my music haha π
it was so much better when i did !
first track was Aqua lung by Jethro Tull (appropriate) haha
anyway first 10 minutes i couldn't find a steady pace, really was that toxic 10 !
then settled down as the music changed to 'Pink Floyd's Set the controls for the heart of the sun!
that really got me into my rhythm .
once the pace was comfortable everything else just seemed to fall into place , i noticed my splits were better although they were comfortable , this was feeling like it could be a good run .
i don't even notice the hill anymore but what i did notice was it didn't change my pace much, certainly not as much as it used to do !
before i knew it the hill was done and a nice gentle downhill to follow (always welcome)
Breathe was my next music track ! (always a good idea when running! or any other time for that matter π)
coming up to 3K now and all is well and heading towards home !
pass my house at 4K and onto the final kilometer π¬
this was feeling like my best 5K yet in both comfort and pace !
then right on cue , the final music track, 'Comfortably Numb'
What a great track to finish my best 5K on !
im still amazed at this ! how was it i couldn't even run for 60 seconds 11 weeks ago and now i have just Knocked over 4 minutes off my first 5K time without even trying too π¬
