Just complete week 8! And I want to shout it from rooftops!! So pleased, although I found this morning run tough (few too many gins on Saturday methinks)!

Anyway, I’ve found this a real boost to my mental health as I suffer with anxiety, and this has just helped so much! But I’ve noticed on the days am not running I feel anxious and stressy again. I’ve bought an exercise bike. My question is would it be ok to use it on my recovery my days? I don’t want to overdo it, but feel like I need to be doing something every day.....as it just clears my head. Xx

Well done.

As stated in the guide to the plan, doing non impact exercise on your rest days will improve recovery by boosting blood flow without causing the microtears in your muscles which the impact of running creates.

It is wise to ease into this extra exercise, just as C25K does, to avoid overdoing it.

Thankyou. I’ll just do a small amount on recovery days on my exercise bike. Just to keep my head clear. Thanks so much for your help.

Walking and yoga are also great.

You could try yoga with Adrienne on YouTube. 👍

I’ve only ever done yoga a few times in work! They introduced it as part of health and well being initiative! I was very sceptical about it to be honest but really enjoyed it. Might give that a go. Xx

I also recommend Yoga with Adriene. Despite the fact that she's gorgeous, I'm not, and I'm old enough to be her Mum, she doesn't intimidate me. There's a huge selection of videos, so if you don't get on with one, you can always try another.

Absolutely. I got "the urge" yesterday and went on a 20 min brisk walk instead of running.
