So I graduated last year but those of you who might remember me will know I’m a run walker aka jeffer at heart but I’m here again to push myself to get to half an hour at least non stop running. My problem is a love the idea of it but get bored easily so any tips would be great 😄

Repeating the program
Get a good book! It can be a bit dull to just run but an audio books (or podcasts if you prefer) can help the time pass. Sometimes, looking forward to my next listen is what gets me out of the door
Thanks Helen I do like to listen to my audible books but I forget to do it so I’ll give it a go any suggestions for a good one?
Well that really depends what you like! I have just finished Trainspotting by Irving Welsh; which was not always an easy listen, but did make me laugh out loud at times (always good whilst jogging).
For a more sedate run, I have just started the Dutch House by Anne Pratchett, read by Tom Hanks (who does an amazing performance as you might expect)
Good luck
Thanks I’ll have a look at the Dutch house
HaHa
Yes Trainspotting is not for the faint hearted
I went for the Jane Austin book club in the end because I love Richard Armitages voice. Shallow I know 😂😂
Oh also very good is Actress by Ann Enwright. An abridged version is being read on R4 atm, so you can listen to it free on Sounds. In fact loads of stuff there
I really enjoyed Louis Theroux's 'Lockdown' podcast too
Listen to the radio
I agree! You can get teeny weeny radios that clip onto your belt if you don’t have a good data plan for your phone
I listen to plays, audio books etc on BBC sounds app. Most episodes of plays are 30 minutes. Check out Sounds app and I'm sure you'll find something to suit your taste. If you don't have unlimited data on your phone they are all available to download. Keep on running 🏃♀️
I always find marathontalk podcast is good for a run, even though I’m very slow and never likely to run a marathon again !
