10th consolidation run ✔️

....ran my old route, nice and early. Still trying to perfect my slow running technique and dabbled with both 150 bpm and 160 bpm playlists. 160 seems very fast and I am constantly out of sync. Hm. 🎶😓🏃🏽‍♀️ but otherwise a fine run 🏃🏽‍♀️

Great, you're really consolidating nicely! 👍💪 My natural cadence is around 170 bpm so I really struggle with anything below that, I think that's why I just couldn't get on with the C25K+ podcasts!

How far into your 12 week plan are you now? 🏃‍♀️🤸‍♀️💪

170! Wow! I can’t imagine that and I know that there are sections of the C25k+ podcasts which go up to 180! 😱

I am in my 5th week of the 12 week program, so slowly but surely. Starting week 6 on Thursday.

Yes, early on in the C25K I was hitting 180 bpm during the running intervals but with the longer runs I had to take it easier 🥵😂 I'm still mega slow tho!

Cool, half way through your plan already, that's gone by quickly! Are you consolidating for the full 12 weeks? I found that doing 30 min runs every time was just getting a bit too tedious, I'm much happier on this new plan. I need structure but also variety and this provides both! 😃

I just signed up for the #runlejog4 lands end to John o groats virtual race! I might make it out of Cornwall as I am just too slow, but this will keep my consolidation runs exciting, as I really plan to do the whole 12 weeks. But last 3 weeks are C25k+ podcasts.

Oooh I saw someone posted about it the other day, I was really tempted but then chickened out. Good luck with it! 💪🏃‍♀️

Some authorities suggest a faster cadence (180 bpm) and shorter strides.

But when it gets down to it, you're better finding your body's own natural rhythm. We're all built slightly differently. Some of us are storks and some are ducks.

🦆 ha ha 🦆 🐢 🐢🐢🏃🏽‍♀️ (love your running shoes! But feel I am not quite the real runner yet to go so far to get these ‘dedicated shoes’ 😉 But they look so much more naturally comfortable)

As I've said elsewhere on here, zero drop, unpadded shoes can take a lot of time to get used to. They are extremely comfy once you get over the initial reaction to having cloth between your toes.
