In total shock! Two runs later = 5k!!!

So, having already amazed myself by completing Couch to 5k I have now, 2 runs later, also achieved a 5k run in just under 35 mins😱. I really didn’t feel like running today and almost put it off especially because of the heat but I decided to push on through and am so pleased I did. I listened to the couch to 5k plus Stamina podcast and felt really good for the whole run, much better than I have before. Not sure if that’s because I was pacing myself properly but whatever the reason it worked. I am shocked and stunned and it’s really spurred me on to want to do more and more. Who would have thought it...definitely not me 😂🤣

That's a great result on all counts. Must admit I've not tried any of the consolidation podcasts yet but must give them a go soon👍😀🍷

Thanks MontyMooDog 👍. I decided that I needed direction and motivation still so went straight on to using those podcasts when I finished Couch to 5k. They are really good and have massively helped me 😊

So very well done! 👏👏 I've done 4 consolidation runs so far but am yet to reach 5k. I've used Laura's stepping stones download and otherwise just run for 32 mins. Maybe I'll try the stamina one you mention soon. 5k, hey? Bet you wouldn't have believed that of yourself 10 weeks ago 😀

Well done to you too. I think we’ve all proved to ourselves that if we keep going we will reach our goals so keep on pushing forwards and you’ll soon get there. The only way you won’t is by giving up. I did the stepping stone podcast for my first consolidation run and decided to try the stamina for the second because it was 5 minutes longer however I think I just hit it lucky that on the day I chose to run for a bit longer everything seemed to be going well. I normally suffer with my legs feeling really heavy but on that run they didn’t so felt I had it in me to keep going. They say you get good runs and bad runs for no apparent reason so I just have to hope that I can do it again and it wasn’t a fluke! Keep going aiming for your goal Doobree 😊

Well done, that is not a bad pace either, my first 5k was around 39 mins, I think you pacing really helped, it always helps me.

Thanks Belushi. I had really hoped to get to 5k on graduation day but it wasn't to be. Think I was probably trying too hard at the beginning of the run and didn't have enough left in the tank towards the end to keep that pace up 😊
