Graduation Run - dilemma!

I am due to do the last run of C25K tomorrow but I’m getting a little worried about the predicted ‘heatwave’.

I did W9R2 yesterday and I have woke up this morning with my body feeling relatively fine.

Do I do R3 today in the cooler weather or have my rest day and risk it tomorrow?

Conundrum.

what time do you run at? can you do an early morning?

I normally run late morning/mid-day (odd time I know!) but I could pull it forward to 9ish potentially ...

You certainly should have your rest day !

Dont want to risk injury at this stage .

Today is the day your muscles will repair from yesterday !

I might run tomorrow (not sure yet as I have just come back from the osteopath so could be a bit sore tomorrow) but if I do will go about 7am before it warms up too much

I shall listen to your wise words and follow your advice. You are the Instructor after all!

Love a good osteopath session! Nothing beats getting ‘clicked’ back into alignment!

I’m definitely not a 7am runner (yet!) but will aim for 9am which should be ok temperature wise ....

Haha, not running instructor 😁

I wasn't an early runner either, but the last heatwave we had forcast I was out of the door at 6am haha

(Hard getting up though !) 😂

Your graduation won't go anywhere , it will still be there when you are ready 😁

It's really ok to have 2 rest days, so you could do your grad run on Saturday. 😊

I know, I am sucker for not having two consecutive rest days! However, I really want to graduate this month (tomorrow being the last day!).

Although I suppose being one of the first Grads of August isn’t too shabby either!

I’ll see what the heat is saying tomorrow but will definitely rest today.

I would go early morning, before the weather gets too warm, good luck and well done in getting to this point

I would go as early as you can bear...

I go out at 5: 15 for my runs

It's cool & peaceful..

Perfect to focus on your special day.

Stay v v hydrated today. 2 - 3 litres of fluids today.

Plenty of rest today too.

Early night...off you go.........

Good luck👌

Saturday will be much cooler... no harm doing it then if Friday is too warm for you.

I need a complete rest day at least. Whatever you do Good luck 😊

I’d choose Saturday and have an extra rest day this running the graduation run with nice fresh legs.
