Well done! Hopefully, you will soon replace your feeling of nervousness with one of excitement! I think as you gain in confidence and fitness, you will start to enjoy it more. In the meantime, just enjoy the sense of achievement afterwards! πππ
You and sally1993 are at exactly the same stage and posting at the same time - take a look
Excellent, you certainly have accomplished something !
Trust the program !
You are doing fine π¬π
Me too! Iβm at the same stage and was surprised when joe whiley said βthatβs it youβve done itβ ! Was fully expecting another gruelling 90 seconds! Itβs hard isnβt it but Iβm so pleased as well. π
Well done.
Stretching immediately after every run, nhs.uk/live-well/exercise/h... while muscles are still warm and supple, pulls out contractions, avoiding carrying tensions into the next run and also improves recovery by improving blood flow, as recommended in the guide to the plan.
Many people do not hold their stretches for long enough or put enough effort in. Hold post run stretches for 30 seconds and make sure the pull is strong enough to be on the verge of discomfort.
I'll let you in on a secret. I never enjoy it at the time.
But an hour or two later my body's saying, "OK, when are we going out again?"
Iβm doing Wk2 R2 in the morning. Found R1 a little easier than Wk1. Wk1 seems to contain a lot of psychological battles that you have some way over come in Wk2 just by starting. I am looking forward to looking to running ππ€πΌπ€πΌ
You should feel really proud! You've done so well. I completed this run today & could really feel the burn in my legs on the last run! I'm just really hoping I can keep at it. All the best!
