Did my run w5r2 today in the worst weather yet, near the end of the second run I noticed the app hadn’t said anything for ages, so I checked (in the rain) and it had paused itself when my map my run app told me my distance 😫😫
So after I hit the same spot I did on my first 8 minute run, I skipped the section and did the cool down walk.
I feel kind of cheated but I was also aware of sticking to the programme and didn’t want to run for an extra minute or two...
Regardless of this, I found the 8 minute runs ok. It clicked when I was doing the 5 minute runs that I can keep going. And now I’m not scared of the next run, I’m actually really excited about it. I know I can get there now. I just hope I don’t end up feeling sick like I did in school, although I think I’ve learned to pace myself enough now and how to breath properly.
So bring on the 20 minute run!
