Hi, I’m on week 7 and it’s going ok but I jog really slow. Is this ok? When I’m in the park so many go past me. Does speed matter?

Slow
Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.
Slow is fine and be assured that most C25kers do not reach 5k in 30 minutes before graduation, but you are doing yourself and your health prospects a huge benefit, regardless of speed.
Enjoy your journey.
Try not to measure yourself against others -- I know it's hard when it feels like everyone is passing you with ease, but also remember that they've probably been running longer than you have. Think about how slow you were in week 1! The fact that you're on W7 is AMAZING PROGRESS!!! I've done C25k programs in the past, but this time around, I'm keeping a running diary that includes my thoughts immediately after each run and it's fun to see how far I've come (I'm on W5D1, but I repeated a couple of weeks to make sure I was really ready to move on). Those first few runs were really, really hard and I was so slow, I think my walking intervals were faster than my running ones. LOL
You are doing fantastically 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I had this problem before worrying about speed. Now I still have to remind myself sometimes that it’s doesn’t matter. Running slowly is good for you this video helped to change my mindset. It was recommended by another ‘Unlocker’ enjoy!
Thank you x
Slow is good! 😄 You’re doing really well & building up strength.
You will get faster later, but speed shouldn’t be on your radar yet! 😄
