I've just done my penultimate run on C25K and i thought i was doing ok, but after completing i checked my time and distance and it was 38 minutes to do the 5K. Hopefully Sunday when i do my graduation run i can get the time down.

Dont stress it Colindbaggie. 38 minutes for 5k is great and probably average for us on this forum. The real target on c25k is to achieve 30 minute non stop running 3 times a week. Once you achieve that you can start running faster or further if you want to. After graduating i got my time down to 32 minutes from 38 minutes but now I run 5k 3 or 4 times a week in about 36 or 37 minutes and I feel great for it. So you are doing better than OK - you are doing great!! Enjoy your graduation run

Cheers thanks for the encouragement that's the mistake I've made thinking that you have to do the 5K in 30 minutes

You are doing well! I think I am closer to 40 Mins for 5K at the moment. The trick is to take it slow and let the speed build up over time, if there is one flaw in the program it is the link between 30 minutes running and 5K. Not very many people do that distance in week 9 at all. Have a look at this poll, it speaks volumes, Only around 12.5% graduate having run 5K or more:

You ARE doing ok!!!

I graduated a week ago and I didn’t achieve 5k ... high % of people don’t...

but you are almost at Graduation! 🏁🎓🏅👏👏 Thats amazing in itself!

You’ve got plenty of time to improve..

I ran 3rd consolidation today at my best time ever and it’s still a 37 minute 5k! ... but I’m so chuffed!

Don’t be putting that kind of pressure on yourself- Graduation is running 30 minutes.. and if you hit 5k then brilliant but not worth an injury ..

Enjoy it! You deserve to! Well done! 👏👏

I could never make that mistake as I’m nowhere near... the 5k

But I’m getting there.. and it will be all the sweeter when I do..

You’re way too hard on yourself... I don’t think you recognise your achievement but it’s fab! 👏👏
