Boom, W9R3 is done, and so is C25K. One of the best things I've ever had the pleasure of doing and now feeling on top of the world. It's taken me just under eight weeks (I condensed the first three weeks of runs into two weeks) and I've managed to achieve what would have been unthinkable back at the start. I've lost over a stone (but still weigh 17st 8lbs so plenty more to shift) and feel healthier than I have in years. Tonight I broke the 26m mark for 5k (25.55) and covered 5.7k in 30 minutes - there's no way on earth I ever thought I'd do that a few weeks ago. Not bad for a fat lad!
Two targets now. Run a 10k in under an hour and get down to 25m for 5k.
I think I might even dare to refer to myself as a runner now!
Thank you C25K, you've been brilliant.
