I have low-level asthma which is brought on by exercise. I know that good hydration before I run helps but, even drinking a good amount of water the day before and again before I run, I still find, after 20 minutes of running, I have to cough every 20 seconds, which I feel bad about doing at the moment while everyone is being so careful about the virus. If I can't cough, I panic that I'm not going to be able to breathe, which really doesn't help the running!! Having a small amount of water helps with the coughing and, even if I don't use the water, it gives me confidence if I have it with me. Could anyone advise on how best to carry a small amount of water, it doesn't need to be a large quantity - presumably a small bottle and a belt with pockets would work but I'm not sure where to find one. Thanks for any advice anyone might have, I'd be really grateful to be able to share what other people have found.

There are loads of options for this. Amazon does a belt with two small bottles, and Decathlon have shorts with loads of pockets, and they also do a soft flask that fits one of the pockets.

I have a small (and ver old) ‘bum bag’. I carry my phone and a 250ml bottle of water in eat and take several dips during my runs. It works for me.

I have, thank you. I try to hydrate as much as I can before I run, and the day before as well, but I suspect, because my concern is related to asthma, I'm a bit overanxious about having water with me. I'll have a look for a belt that lets me carry a small bottle of water.
Thank for your advice, as always, it's much appreciated.
