I wanted to go quicker, but to be fair I couldn't so not as fast as I would like, but I did run the whole way. Once I get to 30mins per run I will then start to work on speed and strength I suppose.
Honestly, forget your pace. Right now, the most important thing is you complete C25K in nice and relaxed way. Remember that you're running to time not distance, despite the catchy title. And C25K should NOT be a struggle - find a pace that is very easy and very relaxed, even if that jogging is slower than your brisk walk. It doesnt matter.
Once you've graduated, you can consolidate for a month or so and during that time, you can think about your longer term running goals, including getting quicker or going further... which will come!
Don't worry about getting to 5k - us blokes get het up with targets and goals and numbers sometimes ... but take it from me... chill out.
Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, don't worry about that pace of 8.14/km, it would still be a sub 42 minutes 5K.
Onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran 🏃🏾 😊
