Nausea at 20 minutes

Did my first 25 minute run at the end of Wk6. At 20 minutes I started to feel like being sick and wanting the loo! Got through it but when I finished I literally felt like I could lay down and fall asleep. Is the nausea feeling common? I do the runs in the morning before food, with a a little water.

No it’s not normal but needing a 💩 can be. Try half a banana before running. It’s quite warm too.

Well done for getting this far. I experienced this at exactly the same point as you in the programme, I would feel almost shakey and waves of sickness almost always at the 25min mark. I started to eat a banana before a run or something small. It really helped me. Also I think it was my body's way of saying "what the hell is going on here, you've not ran this long before" just keep at it, take it slow and it should get better.

Hope this helps 😁

when i first started the long runs it really made my stomach go funny and start cramping so i just made sure i ran close to home. it sounds like you may have been dehydrated or lacking energy. I run in the evenings so I'm not sure how people who run first thing can overcome these issues
