I DID IT!!!

Today’s run I was slightly apprehensive as I went on nearly a 10K walk trying to look for new places to run, the route I do now I do about 3.3KM of but in total is about 10K+ on the seafront, so wanted to see where I could start at different places to spice things up - and my legs were feeling it a bit yesterday as I decided to be a bit brisk with the walking😬 so knew I had to take this one slow, and also wanted to because it was my graduation run.

This has been such an amazing experience to go through - I am slightly nervous of what’s ahead as I know there are plans that I can follow, but I will no longer have Sanjeev holding my hand, which is so strange to me. I am really excited to see what else I can now do!

I started this C25K journey on the 24th April, however I had to actually try and do some running before that so I could even get up to 1 minute of slow jogging as I used to not be able to even do 20 seconds. I used to end up having a cigarette break half way through which is MENTAL to even think about as it defeats the WHOLE point. I knew as soon as I started this programme I HAD to stop smoking, it was horrifying to me how unfit I truly was and always used to laugh it off and just be the funny unfit friend because it was easier than actually going out of my comfort zone and making the effort - and I haven’t touched one cigarette since. I had to repeat W1 and W2 two times, but after that it was GO time and I learnt more and more about not only running each run, but about myself.

Thank you to all that have been so supportive throughout my journey, and I’m so excited to see how everyone else does on the forum - whether you creeping on the forum to see if it’s worth starting the programme, are only just starting, or half way through or doing consolidation runs. You CAN do this.

Sorry for the long one, feeling a bit sappy. Here’s a nice view of the route I always do but thought it looked significantly pretty today.

Bloody well done! I hope you’re still smiling 2 days later! You deserve to!

You’ve done 2 fab things .. Graduated πŸƒπŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸŽ“ but also packed in smoking! πŸ‘πŸ‘

I’m in awe of you lady!

I don’t smoke.. it stunts your growth and at 4ft 11” I need every inch 🀣

Great pic!

I’m lucky too as I have the coast to run alongside ... it’s often breezy down there.. last time I ran down there the winds were reportedly 50 mph πŸ’¨

I plan on keeping my coach for a bit.. I think I’m the type of person that needs them for a while longer so will just repeat week 9 and consolidate

So well done lovely! - be super proud of yourself! .. for both things x
