Finally managed 5k

Graduated 3 weeks ago ,invested in some proper shoes ,first time on today ,felt totally different than old ones . And yes managed my first 5k ( 41 minutes) not fast but good base line . Had aimed to reack 5k by my birthday ( monday 64 yes old ) so made it with one run to spare ( sunday ) yippee

Brilliant well done! I graduated on my 62nd b'day. My first 5k a few weeks later was similar to that and my best parkrun was 32m. But normally I run about 37m. I would love to get down to 30m but at my age I need to train for it and run more, but I'm chuffed to run 5k 2 or 3 times a week and not to bothered about time anymore! Good luck and enjoy your running
