Thought week 8 would not be such a big step up after running for 25 minutes previously. It's just another 3 minutes! Calves heavy for both runs to date. Breathing not too bad. 4 runs to do and then I will need to come up with a plan for the next challenge. Love the blog and love the C25K programme. Keep going everyone!

Good morning - well done for completing a second run of Week 8!
Do you often find that your calves feel heavy when running? Do they feel particularly sore the following day or two?

Adam, I have only struggled in the with the calves in week 7 and 8. Just bought one of those foam rollers recently and they've improved the discomfort.

hi, try a longer stretching before and especially after run , and perhaps a hot bath to relax muscles, helps a lot .
Also slow the pace a little helps the body to adjust to the new rhythm, hope it helps.😷🏃♀️
