Battery going quickly

Hello, I have downloaded Strava and Map My Run but I am pretty sure they just sit there unless I actually start one of them going. My battery appears to go really quickly now and I am wondering if it is due to those apps. I am going out for week 5 run 3 later 😳 and can’t risk losing Michael or my music....

Possibly, when you open an app for the first time it will ask for certain permissions, notifications, location etc. The only way in my opinion that there would be a significant increase in battery usage is if you’ve given location permission all the time rather than while only using the app 😊

If you go into the settings on your phone, there should be one for your battery. In that, there should be an option or button that will show you the apps that are taking up more of your battery. My phone lets me force stop the apps to prevent them running in the background. I'm not sure what phone you have but most smartphones have this option.

I have Strava downloaded but it doesn't drain battery when I don't use it. I have a couple that are heavy battery drainers (I'm looking at YOU Facebook!) But Strava doesn't seem to be one of them.
