Week8 demons beaten, thank you all for the support!

This time last week I'd posted about my struggles with Week 8 where I just couldn't seem to run for 28 minutes without walk breaks, despite knowing I was capable.

I received loads of fantastic advice and set off after work last night for a 'no pressure, no expectations' run. Iset my timer for 30 minutes but told myself I could stop after 20. And then I ran for 30 minutes without a single break!

Aside from the 'no expectations' I changed my route and my playlist so I didn't have any familiar milestones other than my fitness app marking off each 5 minutes. I also slowed right down and had a drink of water before starting.

It could have been that any one of these changes made the difference but I think really it was knowing you were all there with me, willing me on. So thank you, again, I really don't think I'd have yot this far without you!

Hiya, well done!! It was lovely to read your post... I'm having similar struggles with w7 but yesterday I changed things about too and ran the 25 mins with just a wee, teeny tiny, itsy bitsy mini break of about 30 seconds when climbing a steep bridge thing, so I'm not counting that!! Had also told myself I was only doing the 20 minutes, but carried on. Its funny how we can fool our own brains isn't it! Well done again, onwards and upwards eh (well, not upwards... I prefer the flat for now!)

Excellent, well done done you. That’s amazing 🥳. To have realised it was those pesky mental gremlins 👹 stopping you, not your physical ability, and beaten them 👏👏. So chuffed for you. Bet you feel great. Onwards and upwards now. Remember, take it slow and steady at your pace and you can achieve this. Congrats 🎉🥳🎉🥳
