Running with Cancer

Hi All,

I posted that I was stuck on the 25 min runs and found it so hard. I've run 2 x 10 min runs with a 3 min break no problem. This morning I took my 11 year old who has not run b4 so we started week 1 run 1. Omg! I found it hard, so did my daughter. Once the first 5 mins is over I find my pace but that was tough. I tried to use it as a HIT session and run fast but it didn't feel like that. Hope I'm not loosing my mojo. My son loved it, going out again tonight to do a full/straight 20 mins just to prove to myself I still have it.

It sounds like you’re doing too much! Twice a day? Running fast? You should be going really quite slow so that you can complete it, and have at least one day off in between runs. You’ll get injured and not recover otherwise.

I managed the 20 mins, I know I pushed myself hard today but it felt so good. Gonna rest up for two days now. X
