I'm now on week 7 and 13 weeks post op. I'm struggling with 20 and 25 min runs! I know it's HOT so that makes the difference but I just smashed it last time but I can't seem to manage it now. 😔 week 6 run 3 was the first run I couldn't complete.....gutted! Annie x

Take a extra day off running, drink plenty of water the day before you run, especially in this hot weather, try running a little slower than you have been recently and run it as early as possible to avoid the heat of later in the day.
You don't say what other treatment you had besides surgery, but be aware that the side effects from cancer treatment can continue long after the effects of the surgery have gone. I'm over two years post treatment, and I still find it impacts on my runs.
Don't be gutted, I know it's easier said than done, but you are doing fabulously to be out there running. Be proud of what you've achieved.
Well, I’ve been running 2 years, with no recent surgery, and not many cares in the world... I ran today and it was a real struggle out there... you’re not alone... heat and humidity makes for much harder running.
Looking at the forecast, Friday is looking much more run-friendly, so maybe it’s time to pamper yourself during an extra rest day and come to the start line all relaxed in better conditions?
Hi Peeps, I decided to run Thursday night when it was nice and cool. Went back to week 6 run 2 two 10 min runs, did the same again today. I was thinking even if I do 3 10 min runs with a few minuits break that will be good. Just need to build more stamina.
