Loved, loved, loved it! πŸ’• 😊 So lucky with the weather this morning. Was showery when I left and continued throughout, with a light breeze and sunny patches. Perfect! 🌦 The first 10 mins was a bit unsettled, so I was thinking,”well, Busylady said I’d be fine and she’s a no nonsense kind of a gal!β€πŸ˜„(Thanks Busylady!). After that I settled into it and really enjoyed the whole thing. Even did a sprint of joy for the last 60 secs! πŸ˜ƒ One of my favourite runs ever! πŸ€Έβ€β™‚οΈAlso used Strava, for the running part only and the stats were 3.77km, 8.21/km over 31mins 31 secs. Don’t really understand it but I think that’s fine. 😊 Really looking forward to the rest of the week now!

Happy running everyone! πŸ˜ŠπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ’

Lol! Well done, brilliant news, this was my best run so far too, think the milder weather is definitely better, it helps a lot especially when you’re increasing your time/distance. Glad you enjoyed it, we’re nearly there! πŸŽ‰πŸ·

Congratulations on running run 1 of week 9, only two more runs until you graduate.

The 3.77km is the distance you ran, the 8/21km is the pace that you took, for example if you had ran a 5K that would have been around a little over 43 minutes, 31.31 is the time you ran, onwards and upwards to run 2. 😊 πŸƒπŸΎ

Thanks very much AlMorr! 😊 Good to know the 5K equivalent for future reference. Loving it! πŸ˜ŠπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ’

I have just looked at Strava, the exact time of the pace you ran which was 8/21Km would have been 41.45 if you had ran a 5K.

Thanks Al! 😊First time I’ve used Strava, so it’s a bit of a learning curve! πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

Thanks so much Beatlesforever! 😊 How’s your consolidation going? Someone else has posted about using that zombie πŸ§Ÿβ€β™‚οΈ app (today maybe?) and I thought of you! 😊 You should check it out. Have you tried it yet?

Haven't gone out this week because my hayfever was soo bad πŸ™„ I will do at least one consolidation week and then I'll give it a go πŸ§Ÿβ€β™‚οΈπŸ§Ÿβ€β™€οΈ

Aw, how frustrating for you! 😬 Do you do yoga, or Pilates? Anything to keep you going in the meantime? Or is it all outdoors stuff? Hope you manage to get back out there really soon! πŸ€žπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

Aww thanks! Yes, I've been keeping active, doing some of the strength &flex programme and some core and leg exercises, plus some cardio on the static bike. Can't wait to be out and about again though! I'll give it a go tomorrow 🀞🀞

Well done Gannet1 πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ» sounds like you smashed it! πŸ’₯ Its so great to read in your posts how you are really enjoying this and seem to have found a happy place with running, it’s really motivating! Two more runs to go, you’ve got this πŸ’ͺπŸ»πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸŒˆ

Aw, thanks so much, Issywhizz! 😊 Yeh , you’re right, when I’m out there I am (mostly) loving every single minute! πŸ™Œ Such a revelation, as I always hated running before. This programme and even more so, this forum, is so doable and addictive, I’m totally hooked! How’s yours going? πŸ˜„πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ’

Issywhizz profile image
IssywhizzGraduateβ€’ in reply toGannet1

Love it, PMA all the way. I think that’s what gets you through y’know, positivity!

Ha yeh I didn’t like running ore this and I hated any kind of sport. Although I always watched with envy those participating, admiring their achievements. So one day thought, sod it, get out there and do it, instead of sitting on that couch and admiring the view!

I just ran my run 2 of week 9 this morning. I managed to run 5k in just over 30 minutes, it was 30 minutes and 13 seconds, so am chuffed with that. Admittedly I couldn’t breathe and felt like giving in a few times but πŸ’ͺ🏻 it’s very hard still but I do love that mental/physical battle, proving to myself I can do this 😊🌈

I agree, the programme is brilliant and this forum is the most perfect support to get you through the runs. The advice and support has been amazing 😊

That’s great re strava, I like recording the runs as it shows the improvement each time. Good luck for run 2!! You’ll probably graduate before me because I keep having about 6 rest days lately πŸ˜‚

Whoop whoop! Well done. It's so funny what goes through your head while you're running isn't it?

Love the 'sprint of joy'! That's has to be a thing to do now lol!

You sound so positive and happy. I think that has to be one the best benefits of this whole experience.....being ecstatic with your self πŸ˜ŠπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸ˜ŽπŸŽ‰πŸ‘

Gannet1 profile image
Gannet1Graduateβ€’ in reply toBrunsamarathon

What with sprints of joy and being ecstatic with ourselves, I think we may spontaneously combust! 😁 The only evidence left would be a pair of smoking running shoes. πŸ˜† What happened here, Miss? Oh, it was the sprint of joy that did it, Officer.... How’s your consolidation going anyway? 😊

Brunsamarathon profile image
BrunsamarathonGraduateβ€’ in reply toGannet1

Lol that's funny! It's a whole lot of euphoria going round 🀣

They're going well thanks. I've cut the cord with Michael and started using the nike app more. It let's you set a target distance with a breakdown while you're running which I like. I think I might actually keep this running thing up lol πŸ‘πŸ˜ŽπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

Excellent news! 😊 Wow, great moment setting Michael free! πŸ‘πŸ»You’re obviously ready now to move on to your new phase. πŸ€Έβ€β™‚οΈ Nike app sounds good too. πŸ‘Keep posting though, so we can hear how you’re doing! Sounds like you’re a proper runner now! Bring on the euphoria! πŸ˜ŠπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ’
