20 Minutes non stop - Wow

I did it! This morning I completed the dreaded Week 5 Run 3! Like many, I felt that it seemed such a huge jump to go from two eight minute runs to one 20 minute run, but it was not too bad at all. I had to delay the start five minutes as a thunderstorm went through, and it was drizzling the whole why, but I think that actually helped keep me cool. Anyone that has still to do this run, my advice is don't worry, just keep plodding along, I soon found a rhythm and I could have probably just carried on when the time was up. This is someone that only just managed to finish Week 1 Run 1 a few weeks ago and was often short of breath from one flight of stairs! This is an amazing program, just trust in it, stick with it and it really does work.

Well done, that’s great. I am completing this run tomorrow. Hopefully it will have cooled down a bit more by then 🙂

Good one! I completed this run this morning too. I got through the 20 minutes fine, only stress was when a dog was threatening to jump the fence at me each time I passed his house (I do laps around a circle road and need to do about 8 laps for this run). I am feeling my hips and back a bit this evening though (9 hours ahead of you in the UK), hopefully I will recover properly over the weekend.
