Had to go back to walking for now 😤

Unfortunately I have had recurring pains in my right lower leg and even though it helps with ice etc it still comes back after a few gentle jogs. It is not excruciatingly painful just a pain 🤬So have decided to go back to walking for a while. I graduated last June and continued running 2-3 times a week and really enjoy and look forward to it. But, for a month or so I will just go out for a briskish 5 mile walk.

How frustrating for you! You're definitely doing the right thing though. Have you been warming up/stretching well before and after runs? Are you wearing decent running shoes? Have you tried foam rolling any tender spots to loosen any tightness? I hope it heals quickly and you're soon back out there, in the meantimenthe walking will help keep your fitness levels up. Good luck.

Only thing I have not tried is the foam rolling, may have to check that out. Thanks

You pick up a foam roller quite easily and cheaply - worth a try 🤞

What a shame. But as long as you keep moving you’re doing good. Take it easy injuries do heal if you treat them right. And then back to the speedy snail (well for me anyway). 😃
