We ran almost 3k so should be a bit pleased but today’s run went wrong from the word go
Firstly we went really early for us to beat the heat and found a fitness class going on in our park!! I wanted to go somewhere else but Willow said no come on, walked once round which is about 5 minutes and shot off across the grass way too fast, got puffed out and slowed down, and down and after 1k my music packed up, I’d lost Willow so wasn’t really concentrating on running I was grumbling about music wondering where he was, after 2k my heel started to burn but I found Willow so we plodded on slowly, decided to go round the golf course got followed by a dog almost big enough to ride for a while and gave up
Yesterday we spent the day on the beach so are probably dehydrated too so home to guzzle water and make tea
Have a great day everyone, drink plenty in this hot weather and don’t burn in the sun ☀️

We all a bad day occasionally. It’s just a rehearsal for the good runs.
I’m more concerned about your heel. Were you wearing your new shoes? Could they be too tight a fit? Maybe Next time just do a 1k run and concentrate on your shoes. Are there pressure points on your feet? Maybe go back to the shop if you don’t think they have fitted them correctly.
Thanks Dexy, i have a heel lift in the left one and for some reason it starts to burn after 2k but i have options before i go back to the running shop, i will let you know what it’s like after trying a few of them, otherwise the shoes are awesome and Willow came back with no knee pain
It’s our favourite beach it’s a bit of a drive but worth it, mind you i’m burnt enough not to want to spend too much time outside but wanting to go to local stony beach for a swim, Willow is doing music
Just chalk it up to experience! I could really do with just slobbing on that beach. Lock down is getting to me today. Drink, drink (water) and be merry. Enjoy the rest of your day!
