W5R3 ... done !! 🏃🏻‍♂️

Well this was the one I was both anxious and excited about ... a full 20 mins of running ... thinking back to W1R1 and thinking I’d struggle with that run !

So in a routine now ... 5.45am out the door ... has been rain or shine but today was shine ... and that seemed to set me in such a positive mood ! Only difference this time I had a new running top ... instead of a football top and boy it is sooo much better.

I kept telling myself don’t start off too fast as tends to be my normal problem and I didn’t ... had a nice pace, got into the groove, listening to Michael encourage me, my fave 80s tunes (yep I’m that old) and saying hello to now familiar faces who are up running or walking their dogs at that ridiculous time ...

... and I did it ... don’t get me wrong last couple of minutes were tough, but it is uphill, but when Michael said you did it, I think I could have carried on !

Am so pleased I’ve gone from couch to 20 mins and stuck with it (something I have usually failed in as many a gym membership will attest!)

Thank you to all the advice and supportive comments... they have really inspired and helped.

Well done! It’s really some achievement. We seem to be going through all these runs really quickly and here we are at the first big milestone.

I know what you mean ... W1 doesn’t seem that long ago ... but not getting ahead of myself ... seems to be quite a bit of caution expressed about W6 !

I think the key is not to overthink it - just do it section by section, exactly as we’ve been doing with all the runs (except today’s).

Amazing!! The fact that you’re able to get up that early and get outside to run is an achievement in itself (I know I couldn’t do it🤣). Hopefully it’s onwards and upwards from here!

Thank you ... I’m glad I did get up early as it is baking hot now and it’s only 8.30am !!

Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran 🏃🏾 😊 🏃🏾

Thanks AlMorr and for the words of caution. I have seen a few similar comments about W6 and so glad that you and others are sharing that experience so I am prepared for Friday’s run
