I have just done run 3 and I found it really hard, heart rate peaked at 166 according to Fitbit. Was harder than run 2 and I am doing a jog. Have decided to redo week 1 again before moving to week 2. Do I have to reset the app to redo week 1 again?
Have done the essential reading and doing stretches although think I overdid a stretch today as now have an achy ankle. Love all the support on here as it all helps.

You've done brilliantly though - you've completed week 1!!! Maybe you should try week 2 - you might surprise yourself. You might think you are running slowly, but that's what everyone thinks at first and almost all of us nearly kill ourselves in the first weeks by going too fast. Slow down until it feels comfortable and you aren't gasping for breath. Check out the Japanese slow jogging as well - we're all big fans on here!
Thanks. It’s going to be very hot next week so I’d rather do week 1 again and really take note of my jogging style before moving on. Never jogged /run in the heat before so that will be a new experience. Did my run today in the rain, my daughter thought I was mad! Thanks for all your support xx
I would try wk2 run1 first because if you have completed week 1 you will be fine week 1 was definately the hardest for us trust in the program you can do it 😀
Well done for completing W1, you don’t need to reset the app, you can just tap on the completed run and you can repeat it, but if I was you I’d try week 2, just to see how you get on, you may surprise yourself 👍 🏃♀️
My worry is on run 3 I had to go to walking for a few seconds in one of the minute runs. I don’t like doing that as I feel like I’m failing. Someone on another post said they did week 1 twice and it really helped. Plus it’s going to be very hot. I did read the essential reading and found it really helpful and interesting. X
Welcome, there is not strict regime, so if you feel you need to repeat runs, that is absolutely fine, better to move on when you feel comfortable rather than feel forced 😊
If done at the right pace, then Week 1 should be doable for almost anyone, so if you struggled, it suggests you maybe went a bit too quickly, which is very understandable.
It's not obvious, but every run you do prepares you for the next run. So Week 1 prepares you for Week 2. And Week 1 PLUS Week 2 prepares you for Week 3 and so on.
Oh... ignore your Fitbit, especially the heart rate information - they aren't very reliable I'm afraid!
