Running In The Rain

Too many lockdown biscuits and too much cake are beginning to take their toll. And I have gained a few pounds. Time to reset my diet and watch portion sizes and get back to good habits.

Although I am going for long walks and running 3 times a week I need, and want, to get back to doing the strength and flex exercises regularly again. It is amazing how quickly bad habits rear their head.

Weather was pretty awful today but that didn't stop me from getting out there this morning for a run. I always do my 5 minute warm up walk before my run but still those first 10 minutes are not easy. After that things settle down nicely. The pace is still painfully slow, I have increased the duration of my runs but my heart rate and recovery time has come down. So that is progress.
