First Rain ☔️ Run - W4R3

It had to happen at sometime and today was the day ... rain ... heavy rain. That said wasn’t too bad, as had a decent waterproof on but as for my glasses ... well next time it’s contact lenses, as could not see a thing !

Run it self was ok, slightly slower than R2, but think that was me being careful or the slippery surface and puddles, albeit was only marginally slower, so still pretty pleased !

Set now for the increasing run lengths of W5 ... but please be dry ..... 🙏

I did mull it over in my head .... but thought if I didn’t then I might start slipping from the program !

What is the best thing to wear for rainy runs? This morning was misty and very light rain, so didn't really matter, but I don't have anything waterproof that's suitable!

I have to say I don’t have any specific running rain wear ... however I am fortunate that I have a good waterproof by Berghaus which I bought when travelling to cold climes so I could layer up for the cold and pop on said waterproof if it was wet ... so it’s breathable and no lining

Exactly the same as you, except I logged my first 5 minute run just out of curiosity so I picked up the pace a bit! Well done to you and bring on Week 5!

Exactly bring on W5 ... though R3 of that week looks daunting!! ... well done to you ... great achievement

Thank you! We will have done the groundwork for Run 3 and will be ready for it! Trust the program and believe. It’s just another step, like we have been doing all along.
