Having a break

Morning all 😊 Just about to start week 5 & all ready in my head to do it but disaster !! Walking a friends dog (slowly) in a grass field & my foot went down a hole & I somehow managed to jerk myself backwards doing my neck & shoulder no favours. Could’ve cried with the pain which although has subsided a bit, still not gone away enough to feel safe to run (shuffle) lol. I am moving about so as not to seize up but any magic tricks out there to heal a bit quicker ?? Very disappointed not to face my Wk 5 nemesis lol

Ahh no, that's so unfair! I tripped over a small box in my bedroom and broke my little toe - my first thought was ' what about myrunning?' 😀 It's all too easy to have an accident like yours. Maybe some ice if there's bruising or swelling, or arnica? or some heat to soothe it. Both will encourage blood flow which promotes healing. Gentle movement is good too, as you say. Otherwise it's probably just patience ... not easy, but week 5 will still be waiting, and it's worth waiting for (in my opinion w5r3 is the best run in the whole program👍). Take care and heal well.
