I was going to run for 30 minutes this morning but I ended up running for 5km instead - that's the longest ever. It took 35.59 (oh alright, 36 minutes). So I was quite pleased with myself. But I think I'll just keep to the 30 minutes until it feels easier and, maybe, I look less like a beetroot when I get back home again. Not sure about this running in the morning though - I've spent all day wanting to have a nap.
Consolidation (with a bit extra): I was going to... - Couch to 5K

Nah... that’s sub-36!!! Congratulations on reaching 5k! I’d agree that 30 minutes is the way to go now for your future development... nothing to prove now anyway, you’re a 5k runner.

Well done on your first 5k!! That’s such an achievement and a really great time too. 30 minutes is definitely the way to go if it’s more comfortable for you, you’re doing so well

To run 5k in 30 mins is every 1k in 6 mins.
Not everyone can do that; depends on many factors: age and build etc etc.
I realise my comfortable average is 7mins per km. Sticking with that pace (sometime 8 or 9 mins per km) ran last week for 60 mins non stop, 8km.
Most people are not fliers so find your comfortable pace.👨🦼👨🦽👨🦯🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️ and stY injury free.

Well done! That second makes all the difference.
