Anyone at the beginning struggling, I'd say mental strength is the biggest battle once your fitness is there. Pick a mantra, like "dig deep", find the motivation that you had to start this programme with, and believe in yourself. Fitness comes quicker than you think it would and you will achieve more than you believed you could.
With that being said, listen to your body, repeat weeks where you need to. It's so so worth it. Slow and steady wins the race.
Killer playlist, good routine, comfy and safe running gear. Make it as easy as possible for yourself, you are more likely to stick at it that way.
Lastly I just wanna say, personally, I never looked ahead, never measured speed or distanced. I just listened to Jo Wiley and ran when she told me to. It paid off and made it more enjoyable.
Looking forward to finishing on my birthday week! Pretty cool way to start my 19th year 🏃♀️

Well done - really good mental attitude, I'm on wk8 run 3 tonight - (cheated a bit on run2 as was feeling good and on a slight downward road so kept running when Laura told me to stop and ran for the 5min walk as well so did 23mins and hit 5.01k) then walked the 15min home after (should plan that better)). back to 28mins for me tonight.
Enjoy your last week and take it from someone very soon to be 52, at 19 you've done a great jo, ,10k by Christmas.......
W9 is your celebration week with the final R3 to grab at your achievement and be proud , what a bonus having your birthday too. Double cake 🎂 and bubbles 🍾 to drink. I’m sure this is just the beginning for you at 19 , over time your find yourself needing to challenging the 10K !
Our lives have changed because we all needed to feel healthier and the painful efforts have paid off .
I’m creeping towards 70 and know every step has been valuable for me and my future years. All the best to you , I look forward to seeing you celebration post 🌟
