I was never a morning runner - not very good first thing - but I went out yesterday at 7:30 (which is early for me), for my third consolidation run, and really enjoyed it. Far fewer people, the air is less sticky and I picked up a buttery croissant for breakfast on the way back. I might even try to become a morning runner now.
I was worried about consolidation, not having Laura's encouragement, but I've been enjoying it - the feeling of "just running" and not thinking, well I've got week 6 under my belt, just 3 weeks to go... It's felt more relaxing and less pressured and I feel as though I'm starting to understand how my body works and feels at different stages of the run, rather than just focusing on getting to the end. That's quite interesting.

I also did my 3rd consolidation run yesterday. Saw the queue at the artisan bakers on my way past at 8.55am and all the way round was encouraging myself to keep going and I'd get a croissant on the way back.... Mine was almond, yum yum
I had issues with the app so haven't had any voice since about week 6 just Spotify, strava and my phone timer... I've dropped the timer now I've got a better sense of distance and just let myself run the route which I'm gradually extending slightly.
Also getting to understand how things feel which is cool.
