Wore a pair of shorts for my 2nd consolidation run tonight that I hadn’t worn since I first started my couch to 5k journey. The 5 minute warm up walk was fine but as soon as I started running, they were sliding down 😂 I should have just turned round and gone home to change but I was stubborn and decided to carry on. The whole run consisted of me yanking up my shorts every time I went a bit faster or slightly downhill 😂 I actually finished my 30 minute run and knew I could have gone faster if I’d been wearing another pair.

Bitter sweet end to the run...I’ve lost that much weight that I need to treat myself to a new pair of running shorts. Any recommendations on good women’s ones? Not necessarily fussed about a pocket as I have an armband. Just ideally ones that don’t fall down 😊

Sorry don’t have any suggestions for shorts but had to laugh. I’ve also lost a lot of weight and inches since starting. I bought leggings from M&S as they have a pocket on the thigh for my phone. They stay up well and they do cropped leggings as well

I bought a pair of Ronhil Womens Stride Twin Shorts from Runners Need in the sale. Great buy and much cheaper price than some of the more trendy brands. Fitted long legs inner short with relaxed fit outer. Very comfy, breathable, wicking with drawstring waist to ensure they don't fall down. 😀There's even a pocket in the back large enough for my smartphone.

I wouldn't normally go out in public wearing shorts, even in the height of summer. I have a pair of cropped tights but tend to run hot so these are a godsend.

Hahaha that's hilarious, well this gives me hope for losing some inches, can't wait to have this problem!

What a wonderful problem to have! I’m a big fan of Decathlon’s gear... and a few of their stores are currently open (I just had to go get a new top when I found out) but sadly they haven’t got changing rooms available again yet. The middle aisles of the German supermarkets tend to have a running week in the summer too, and I’d have to say the items I’ve had from there have been very good value for money.

Congratulations and oh no at shorts catastrophe. I don’t have the first clue my running attire consists of a tee with holes in and leggings that are so old, or what ever i see that might have one days run in it. This has included crop coulottes and a frock on one run!

Running in a dress is what it's all about!

It had one day left so stuck it on. Went well with the neon orange bum bag i found to stick my keys and phone in. The fashion police have me on their most wanted.

Great problem to have! I've found the same, I've been wearing a pair of short tights then a pair of football shorts over the top but now finding the tights are sliding down, even with the drawstring!

I bought a pair of classic adidas running shorts and really like them, especially for the heat. I used to refuse to wear anything shorter than my knees but now I actually feel confident enough to wear short shorts! It feels great 😀

That's hilarious! But such a motivator.... I want my shorts to fall down to! 😂

I have 2 pairs, 1 has a double layer - a cycle short under a loose outer layer. They are fine until about 20 mins in and then the cycle short layer starts chafing a bit. So I'd recommend just a 1 layer short.

I had the same problem. So when I graduated, I treated myself to some 2 layer running shorts from M&S. They have a drawstring too which will be handy should I lose any further from my waistline.
