I only made 16 mins today because my Asthma is playing up a bit. I've had bad Hayfever and Sinus head for a few days and have noticed being a bit more puffed out than usual but nothing bad, so I still went for my run thinking it would clear my head like usual. I just couldn't control my breathing, I even took my inhaler at 5 mins hoping that would get me through and I never need my inhaler during or even after exercise when I'm well. By 10 mins was having words with myself "just get to half way you'll be fine after that, the last one was really hard and you managed that". If any of you have read my posts you'll know that I live where there is little to no flat and I moan about it all the time π but today I couldn't even make it up slight inclines so kept turning around and going back on myself. The weird thing is I was trying in my head to keep going but then I just stopped, without really deciding to, it just happened?? I have never stopped on a run in this whole process and never though I would. I'm not disappointed or thinking it a fail, I still ran 16 mins which is good and I'll try again tomorrow. Still feels like I'm breathing through a hot straw now so my breathing tube is obviously inflamed, ( I'm sure you asthmatics will get that). There will always be bad runs, shake them off and on to the next one πͺπββοΈπ

It seems like you have a good attitude and are not being too hard on yourself.
Iβd say give yourself two days off and try again. Your body is telling you itβs not feeling it today, go again on Monday or even Tuesday, tomorrow is too soon. Relax for a bit longer let your body really recover. Maybe you have a bit of a cold too and need the extra time.
Thank you π I am very happy to get this far and when you think about it I couldn't run 16 mins 9 weeks ago so it's still a win. I had a 2 day rest after the last one, maybe it is a cold? Just can't imagine how I would get one in lockdown lol your probably right i will take it easy, there is no rush. Thank you very much π
Well done for getting so far, and for having such a positive attitude, but please remember you MUST have at least one rest day between runs, that is the non negotiable rule of C25K, to prevent injury π
Hey you ran for 16mins, that's not a short run, you did great, but listen to your body and rest and have a chat with the doc if you have any niggles. Look after yourself πΊπΊπ
That's lovely to say thank you π I've had it since birth and quite badly at times, exercising was a bit of a fear as was scared I'd die π what better way to get over that that to run, running a distance proves you have stamina and endurance which I never though possible so I will always be positive and happy that I've done it even on the bad runs.
I know I am so close it's so exciting πββοΈ
