Hi all I finished the last run of week 9 last night, phew!
Its been a long road, literally! I started last september so I didnt stick to the exact timely (is that bad!?)
Many reasons for that, illness, lack of motivation, xmas, being a fair weather runner etc etc.
But I did, and I am amazed how far ive come since the start. I have never been a runner and never thought I would be. Perhaps I never will be!
It all clicked somehow going into and beyond the 20 mins runs. When I did the first I was amazed. At the start I struggled to even do the 5 min runs.
I feel proud to have finished and my aim now is to do a park run if and when they start again!
One thing it taught me is you can do even at the hardest and most exhausting times. When thoughts of giving up are overruled by thoughts of doing it and succeeding.
When I see others on this forum who are 70+ or even 80+ I keep thinking if they can I can.
