Feeling unmotivated to 5k

This morning was my 5th consolidation run after completing the programme a couple of weeks ago. I was feeling really unmotivated and tired, but wanted to stick to my plan and finally try out one of Nike Run Club’s guided runs. I found an apt one called ‘Not Motivated Run’ which is collaboration with Headspace, and it was only 25 mins, very doable.

Trying to push myself out of my comfort zone of my usual route, (and not stray too far from home pre work), I‘d decided to try a new route which I usually just walk round. I’d avoided it til now as the word ‘Hill’ is in its name..

But the guided run was great, and although the hills were a bit of a struggle, I found myself carrying on past the 25 min mark, and thought I may as well jog home too to save time, and ended up completing another 5k! Very pleased with myself 🙂🎉

Well done! It’s a big achievement, especially when you weren’t in the mood.

It's an odd one but sometimes it's when we're not really feeling it that we pull good runs out of the bag that give the biggest sense of achievement. Well done finding this one.
