Woke up just before the alarm at 5:15am, voice in my head said, ‘leave it today, your still tired, go out tomorrow instead’ I turned the alarm off lay back down in bed and thought NO IM NOT DOING THAT. So got up and got out there, my target to reach 5k in 30 mins.....and today I did it in 34.38 mins according to my Fitbit, which I’m really pleased with....getting closer, cant wait until I hear the voice on the Fitbit say 5k in 30 minutes...,determined to get there....Good Luck to everyone running today 🏃‍♂️

Since writing this post Current PB is 31:14 😀

Hi, I’ve been reading your consolidation posts today as I’m getting towards the end of C25k and want to make sure I have no excuses to keep going.

The battle with my head saying do it tomorrow is still the hardest one!!

I am using MapMyRun as well as Jo but am turning it on before I leave home so have my 5 minute walk at the beginning on to. Are you turning yours on at the start of the run as I’m interested in working out how far I’m actually achieving ?

Thanks 😊

I turn the Fitbit on after the 5 min walk, so the 5k is all running 🏃‍♂️

Hi, I used to turn it on as I was leaving the house, so I had the 5 min walk then the run etc, but having graduated I only used it once after that. I don’t miss it, as it’s served its purpose. I leave the house now and walk to the point where I know the 5 minute walk finished. I just use my music playlist now. I bought a Fitbit Charge 3, and I set it so it tells me when I’ve hit 5k and the time it’s taken me, my aim to reach 5k in under 30 mins....just a personal challenge for me really. I’ve also used the Zombie running app, which you’ll have seen on my last post. It’s not easy to get up and out there sometimes, but I go out early 6am and love the high it gives me for the rest of the day, and also how it’s improved my body shape and fitness....hope this helps, Good Luck with the remainder of your C25K journey 👍

Thanks so much for the advice.

I’ll try turning MapMyRun on after the walk once I’ve finished my final run on week 9

I like to see how long each km is take . I reach the less than 8min/km today for the first time but determined to get to the 5k Mark then concentrate on getting quicker .👍🏃‍♀️
