Was nervous before this run as found run 1 & 2 wk 6 tough. I ran just after 8pm tonight, it was nice and cool and I've been drinking plenty of water (thank you for the advice it paid off!). I found myself zoning out and before I knew it the run was nearly finished, I even managed to pick up the pace before the end!
Really looking forward to wk7 as apparently I'm now officially a runner!
Thank you very much for all your advice and encouragement. ππ

Indeed Cockneymick you are now OFFICIALLY a RUNNER by completing run 3 of week 6, great advice regarding drinking plenty of water, does help a lot, especially during warm weather.
Onwards and upwards to week 7 which are all 3 /25 minute runs, so happy that you are enjoying your running, not too long now until you graduate.
Thank you very much, but honestly you have no need to be apprehensive, the program works, if you make through week 5 you'll smash week 6 πββοΈπ
Fantastic well done! Amazing feeling isn't it? I've just done wk7 r1.....never thought I'd get this far. But like you followed some great advice on here.
Good luck for your next run. You got this as Michael would say ππ
Well done, Iβve just completed too, I found it quite hard, not so much physically but feeling like I couldnβt get to the end??? I think Iβll move from my garden to a nearby field and put on some music from now on to see if that helps πββοΈ πββοΈ
Hi thanks! Music definitely helps me, you can currently get amazon music free for 3 months, create a play list of your favourite tunes, you'll find yourself running with a smile π
Music definitely helps me Suewill . Have you tried the Podcast? On it the coaches say more or less the same words but you have the extra benefit of music, with tempo matched to the walking and the running parts.
Great jobππ Thanks for sharing your progress. Feels great to get it done, I did mine yesterday morning - We're both runners now! Good luck for Wk 7. πͺππͺ
Thatβs brilliant! Iβve just got back from this run too and am so happy!! I wouldnβt have got through week 6 without the support of this group as I really struggled with run 2 and reading comments on here encouraged me to repeat it, so am very grateful as it worked! Good luck for week 7 - we can definitely do it now π
I completed Wk6 on Friday. Was so apprehensive about the 25 minutes but I did it and what an amazing feeling afterwards. I'm not running fast, just a slow gentle jog. Cannot believe how far I've come from being a complete novice at the beginning. WE ARE SMASHING THIS EVERYONE ππ
That's excellent good for you, how did week 7 run 1 go for you today? I'm also not running fast, most important thing is that every two days you're out there running, pace will come with time. Keep at it and we'll all continue to Smash it! ππ
I did wk6 3 on Friday, was looking forward to it and struggled, but managed, did it at 7.00 am as cant breath later on in day, wk7 tomorrow hope all is good
This is a great thread of messages so thanks for kicking it off Cockneymick. I'm starting W7 tomorrow too, so it's lovely to know I can check in after to see how we are all managing. I find the forum great for advice and tips too. Good luck to us all! π¬π
Hi yes I normally 6 or 8 responses but this morning when turned on phone had over 30! All of which were positive messages. Looking forward to to wk7 tomorrow, hope it goes well for you and everyone else running tomorrow. Go for itπππ
I did this run this morning, and if anyone had passed me with 5 minutes to go when I felt that I just couldn't do it and I pathetically shuffled my way up a hill, ( I know, a hill to finish, what an idiot) they would have wondered why I just didn't walk. But I pulled myself together for the final two minutes and did it. It was hard but it is done. Week 7 is now a little scary but surely I can only get better? See you at the end of week 7!
That's fantastic, really tough going up hill, I changed my route because of a hill. You made it more difficult for yourself but still completed, you should be proud of yourself. Try and get a new route for week 7 and you'll smash it πββοΈπ
