Lead legs and a splitting head, but ran my fastest time yet???

Felt tired from the off, thankfully I only remembered I was running the full 30 minutes half way round 😂

Head was banging and I felt so tired, just resigned myself to at least making it to the end and didn’t bother with the last push in the final five minutes. But somehow I ended up running faster than I ever have?

Wow, well done especially with the heat. Fantastic time too. The end is in sight. Good luck for your last runs

How was your hydration today? I’m reading busy day, headache, lead legs and hot day and thinking that’s my prime suspect for how you were feeling.

That all said, sometimes things aren’t 100% at the startline and that seems to then manifest itself in a more evenly paced run than normal... These runs usually feel slow too! I dunno if that’s what happened today, but I’ve seen it happen.

Aside from all that... great job on that 30 minuter!

Thanks 😄 I have been trying to keep hydrated but maybe not enough given the warm weather. The irony is that the run before I really did push myself and felt much faster but was slower! 😂

Sometimes “faster” can be “harder” and harder is rarely smoother, especially early on our journeys. I hit a strange run where I was going slowly in my mind as it was a 10 mile long run on my way to HM... I set new PBs at 1 mile, 5k and 10k without trying... tried to beat those last two a couple of times without success 🤷‍♂️

As someone once said... it’s a funny old game!

Happy running.

Well done for pushing on through. It’s weird how a run that feels so hard can often show the best stats. I think you’re onto your last 2 runs of the programme now? I’m sure they’ll both feel better than this last one, and you’ll be one of the first of the June graduates 😀

Thanks! I had set myself a goal of completing it in May, but never mind 😄

I’m probably one of the stragglers at the tail end of May. You’ll be one of the first over the 🏁 in June! I’ll be cheering you on 👏🏼👏🏼

Well done for getting out & completing your run, not feeling 100%. It shows how far you’ve come & your determination! 👏

Well done on your run. Fantastic effort in this weather. It does sound like a hydration related vibe to me too. I use electrolyte tabs in a water bottle about an hour before my run has really helped im not the best for staying hydrated
