Oh my gosh..... I followed this plan 8 years ago, and did really well, but fell back into old ways following an injury. I posted last night that I was going to get back on the programme this morning, and got lots of messages of support which was really welcome! So I got up, washed, got my running gear on, tried to do something with my hair and headed out.....

I would like to say that today went well, but I'd be telling a big fat fib! It was hard, like, really hard. However, I completed it, I started out too quick, I know that now, and my legs felt like lumps of lead.

Did I enjoy it? - hmmmm I nearly gave up after run 3, so I do feel pleased with my determination to finish, and I am enjoying the buzzy sensation you get in your legs following exercise, but the run was hard... but then I guess its supposed to feel that way!

Ive got two more runs to get me to the stage where I can take the next step, and hopefully muscle memory will start to kick in!

See you at the finish line,

Well done.

If you follow the advice in the guide to the plan on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, then you can minimise aches and maximise your achievement.
