W9R2 - almost there 💪

Just finished W9 R2, and you know what? I actually I enjoyed it!

Run 1 was a slog: I was investigating a new route that took in more hills, but it was the flat bit that wore me out - the ground was rutted and the field was sheltered and airless. So today I bit the bullet and doubled my circuit of the hilly fields. Such a good move - a cool breeze and a smoother surface made up for the extra climb.

One more run to go! So excited - I have to pinch myself to believe I am running for 30 mins! Good luck to all the other Week 9ers out there - we can do this 🤗

Hi W,

You are so close and yes it’s very exciting knowing your next target is the one you have been chasing for 9 weeks :) brilliant isn’t it..

I look forward to your next post when you have shouted out loud - YES - I did it .

It’s a great and sad feeling at the same time saying goodbye to your motivating voice . So make sure you join consolidation club .

Great support there. All the best for your next and final run . Yippee - local Parkruns are going to be full of us C25K runners . 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Thank you for that encouragement! I shall aim for a loud YES on Friday, rather than a whimper!!

I will definitely join the Consolidation club - I do worry that it will be more difficult to stay motivated without this nine week goal.

Hi,

You are correct , we all need a target to aim for whether it’s getting back into an old favourite item of clothing we could part with . A special birthday event . A commitment to someone close to us . To raise our own inner-can-do courage and success.

One could repeat W9R1..2.3. continuously . I use STRAVA , this informs me every .5K I have achieved along with upbeat music . I use PODRUNNER 148 beats per minute.

There’s lots out there or choose your own.

I’m sure your find something exciting to aim for and, don’t forget all the Parkruns we can enter as C25K graduates:) it’s going to be so exciting once we all get out there and meet other C25K grads .

You get to look forward to the surprises that happen as you continue to run each week .

Yes, there will be good and bummer days and that’s ok . It’s what happens on the good days that’s magical . Keep running 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🐾

Thank you! TBH I usually enjoy a run after the event too...for some reason setting myself the challenge of an extra hill made me relax into the run - I knew it would be tough so I just slowed down even more than usual and surprised myself when I realised I could do it 😁
