Back on it this morning after a rest day yesterday. Still feeling the burn after the 70 sec mark and really pushing for the last 20. Did it though! πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ.

Got myself a nice route now with the perfect distance and terrains.

Keep looking at W3 and thinking uh oh.. πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈπŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ. My wife is currently on week 7 and showed her a vid this morning I took on my 3rd run. She asked do I always run that fast?

I don't think I am, but she has said I need to slow down abit or will struggle with the longer runs that are looming ahead of me.

I get it and respect her statement.. But truth is, I'm a big lad at 6ft 6 and 20st with long, strong legs, once I get going I actually find it hard to slow the pace.

How is it possible to jog slower guys?

As always, Any advice would be much appreciated.

All the best

Marky.

I get what both of you are sayingπŸ€·β€β™€οΈ....but it is good to find that sustainable pace that you can maintain as the runs get longer. Also, if you haven't run for a while then too much speed early on can bring with it an increased risk of injury at this stage.

We always advocate finding that easy pace to help build fitness and stamina first. If as it sounds, you have a natural speedy pace - then there is plenty of time ahead to use that and smash out the faster runs! πŸƒπŸ»

I should also say that obviously we all come to this program with very different base levels of fitness, natural ability and are all of different ages - so it may be that you are perfectly ok (and very lucky) whizzing round as you do!

Good luck! πŸ™‚

It's really hard to keep with a slow pace because I was just trying to rush, I've only really just managed it now. What really helped me was finding and making a playlist that has a certain BPM. I found one on Spotify that is 155BPM, and I found that really helped me slow down because you naturally jog along to the beat of the song, however if you want to make your own one like I eventually did, I just searched "155BPM songs" and found some and made a playlist. You might want a faster or slower BPM but just explore around with it and see what works.

Good luck!
