Having had a ‘practice’ run (I didn’t make it so that’s what I’m calling it!) on Sunday, I set off this morning determined to do it this time & I did!

I concentrated on slowing down & am sure I was going backwards at one point! My breathing was good though & I didn’t feel like I was puffing so much at the start of the walking intervals.

Today was more the mental side for me, yes my legs were fighting by the end but I knew I could keep them moving if my mind allowed.

Good luck to anyone else at this stage, if I can do it anyone can!

I did W4R1 yesterday and will do R2 tomorrow. I found the first 5 min run ok but the second was a lot tougher. I can never imagine I will be able to complete the next week’s run but so far I’ve made the step up ok. Looking ahead is a bit scary now though..

Your doing brilliantly. Yes slow down and it’s true if you believe you can do it you will. Once you’ve run 5min once you’ll know you can run 5 min. I just did week 5 run 1. Which I’d never have believed I could do when I started but I did it. So keep going you’ll do it. Rest up and then go for run 2. !!
