WK 9 R3 done - yeh!

I didn't think I would ever get to this point, but I've had my stubborn head on and have been out every other day, come rain or shine, since close to the start of lockdown, when I plucked up the courage to ask my marathon running husband if he would come out with me for my very first run - only it had to be in the dark, so I wouldn't see anyone who knew me... I quickly gave up any thought of being seen and just went for it and now here we are. Now I've got a running date for Wednesday with my half marathon running sister for a socially distanced trot (her words). She's going to "trot" down to me, do 5k and then walk home, all before she starts working from home for the day. I HAVE pointed out that I can't actually DO 5k at the minute - more like 4 - but maybe a healthy dose of sibling rivalry will spur me on. What do you think? For those starting out on the programme - I know lots of people tell you this but you really CAN do this!

Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 9 and graduating from C25K 🎓 🏃🏾

Who knows when you run with your sister she will spur you on to run a full 5K.

To get your graduation badge and the word GRADUATE 🎓 next to your username leave a message on the May graduate post in the pinned posts on the right side of the healthunlocked C25K home page and tell the administrators that you have ran W9R3 of C25K and graduated 🎓 🏃🏾, remember the 30 minute consolidation runs, you could run them with your HM sister.

Yep, I'm aiming to keep going with the 30 minute runs until they feel a bit easier, and I'm not going to worry about distance. Once lockdown is over, I may even be able to get a pair of proper running shoes!

I'm trying to decide what size of Lonely Goat Running Club t-shirt to buy myself as a reward, because I reckon I will be a Lonely Goat runner!

Brilliant! Well done & good luck with your sister. Sibling rivalry is amazingly powerful! 💪

My sister is a couple of years older than me, but she can run MUCH further!

Yay! Well done - that's brilliant. Fantastic to be able to run with your sister but just don't do yourself an injury trying to get to 5k. Enjoy the, moment!!! 🥳🥇🎊🎈🎉

Congratulations! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 🥳 🎉 well done. Like you ( finished on Saturday) I’m not fussed about hitting 5K just yet but it’s something to aim for - and maybe you will sooner rather than later with sibling rivalry!🤣

Keep it up! Just don't do what I did and put together a new playlist but forget to actually download it, so I had one song and then silence (except for Jo's commentary) on my last run...
